| Sajad reiterates demand for presidential clemency to Guru | | | Srinagar, October 3
Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Ghani Lone here on Tuesday reiterated his demand for presidential clemency to Mohd Afzal Guru, the parliament case convict and while warning Government of India he pleaded for taking the people of state in general and valleyites in particular out of the chaos and confusion that had gripped them for last so many days.
Saying that such allegations are leveled during resistance movements any where across the globle, Lone said that the time , when international community has decided to do away with the cancellation of death sentence, growing public sentiment against Guru's execution is very much genuine.
Supporting protests against Guru's execution at district level, Lone said the process reflects democratic and human values in the contemporary world of democracy. |
