| Saroori calls on PM | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar October 29: Minister for R&B, Mr. G.M.Saroori today met the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and discussed various projects including Vailoo-Singhpour tunnel connecting Kishtwar with the Kashmir Valley through Anantnag. The Minister also discussed construction of Sadhna Pass-Tangdar, Sudh Mahadev and Razdna Pass- Gurez tunnels, besides the tunnel at Zojila connecting Kashmir with Ladakh.
Mr Saroori requested for financial assistance for execution of these projects so that all the areas shall remain connected throughout the year.
The Minister has already taken up these projects with the authorities of the Border Roads Organization for early survey and feasibility.
The Prime Minister assured that the matters would be looked into and taken up with the concerned Union ministries shortly.
