| Modest reshuffle on Darbar Move eve | | Jandial relieved for PSC post; Rana Dir Social Welfare | | Sarita DC Udhampur, Khajuria returns as Dir Tourism Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 29: As the Civil Secretariat closed in Srinagar this afternoon for move of the highest seat of power in Jammu for next six months, the government effected modest transfers and postings in the middle rung of administration, mostly to fill up vacancies arising out of retirement of various officers in next two days.
The cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar also took some other significant decisions including establishment of an Overseas Employment Corporation and inclusion of 52 more villages in list of backward areas.
Once of the ace civil servants, KB Jandial today ended his glorious career as a bureaucrat and was relieved for his next assignment as member of the State Public Service Commission. Asgar Hassan Samoon, awaiting orders of posting has been posted as Commissioner-Secretary to government Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution vice K. B. Jandial whose orders of appointment as Member PSC are being issued separately. Mr. Samoon shall also hold additional charge of Secretary Transport till further orders, said an official spokesman.
RK, Thussu, Secretary, Animal & Sheep Husbandry Department has been transferred and posted as Secretary, ARI & Trainings vice Sandeep Kumar Nayak who shall report to GAD on expiry of his leave.
