National Bal Bhawan organizes 5-days Digital photography workshop

Jammu, Oct 30: A five days workshop on Digital photography was organized by National Bal Bhawan in Jammu today. The workshop was inaugurated by Director National Bal Bhawan Anita Shaw at a glittering function held at Roshan Bal Bhawan, Gole Gujral camp road, Jammu.
The function started with lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief guest Anita Shaw, Director National Bal Bhawan which was followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony by the little buds who came to attend the workshop from R.S Pura, Akhnoor, Kaluchak, Gangyal and other places.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, Shabad Gurbani was presented by the students which was followed by a Dogri Dance, Mera Desh Jammu yeh… which mesmerized the audience present there. A story was also recited by a young and talented student Shomiya which was appreciated by all.
The Guest of honour, Additional DC T Angchuk, Jammu in his speech said that he has first time experienced the association of Bal Bhawan and its programmes and added that he would like to see such kind of workshops also held at Leh and other far off places. He applauded children who presented a colourful programme at the venue.
Another guest, Father Thomas, in his discourse said that he remained associated with Bal Bhawan in past also and would like to continue be a part of its. He further said, this is an appropriate time for the children to get benefit from this Digital Photography workshop.
Anita Shaw in here speech, said that this Digital photography workshop is being organized to provide an platform for the students to learn the latest technique in Digital photography and for this purpose, Bal Bhawan has provided the best possible equipment for the said purpose. She also recalls her previous visit to Jammu, three years back when lot of work was done by National Bal Bhawan. She further added that National Bal Bhawan is an autonomous body working under ministry of Human resources development and is providing all possible help to the children and its associated people in social activities. She appreciates the work of Dr. Renu Nanda, State President, National Bal Bhawan who made possible to organize such a big event in Jammu. Dr. Renu Nanda, presented the vote of thanks on the occasion. Around 60 children are participating in 5 days Digital Photography workshop.
The workshop is being conducted by Rajinder Kumar Wadhwa, officer-in-charge, Photo Section, National Bal Bhawan. Others who were present include Dr. Romesh Mehta, Sanjay Nanda, Preeti Nanda, Jitendra Singh, Radhika and many other dignatories
