| 2 Hizb militants killed at Chadoora, | | CRPF inspector among 2 injured security personnel | | Srinagar, October 3 Two militants owing allegiance to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were killed in a bloody encounter in the outskirts of Chadoors, while as one CRPF officer is among two personnel injured during the encounter. Police charged people who were protesting against the denial of authorities to hand over the bodies of the slain militants to them at Chadoora. Meanwhile house of a numberdar came under heavy firing at Chandilora Tangmarg and his two vehicles were set on fire, while as a grenade was lobbed on a residential house at Qamarwari. Police sources informed that sleuths of 189 BN CRPF and SOG laid a siege around the house of one Gh Mohd Lone S/O ab Khaliq in village Borwa Surisyar in the outskirts of Chadoora in central Kashmir district Budgam. The two militants owing allegiance to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were hiding inside the house and they got engaged into a fierce encounter with the sleuths of CRPF and SOG. The gun battle continued till 9.00 A.M and the house of Gh Mohd Lone was completed gutted during the heavy exchange of fire. Two militants of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfitMohd Ashraf Ganaie alias Bilal S/O Mohd Jamal R/O Methan Chanpora and Naseer Ahmed Mir alias Zubair S/O Ab Rehman R/O Aripanthan Berwa were killed during the encounter, while as CRPF Inspector R.D.Sharma and SOG constable Balwant Singh were citically injured. When the bodies of slain militants were not handed over to locals, people of the area gheored local police station and resorted to stone pelting. Police cane charged the protestors, but they did not disperse following which a massive procession led by Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffar Akbar Bhat was taken out and body of Mohd Ashraf Ganaie was brought to Menthan Chanpora. His burial was performed later. Meanwhile unidentified gun men fired upon the house of a numberdar Bashir Ahmed Ganaie S/O Ab Ghani at Chandilora Tangmarg and fired upon his two vehicles bearing nos:JK05/3600 and DLC6A/5468. The vehicles,according to reports, were completely destroyed. Police rushed to the trouble spot and recovered a rifled grenade and used round of bullets from the premises of the house. Reports also indicate that unidentified gun men hurled a grenade on the house of one Mohd Amin reshi at Qamarwari Srinagar . The grenade exploded in the premises of the house with a big bang. Though window panes of the house were broken into pieces, but no one was present in the house at the time of the explosion. Army arrested a shopkeepers Bilal Ahmed Malla S/O Mohd Maqbool R/O Botingoo Bandipora at Kulangam Handwara. |
