| Officers expected to be leaders good managers : Dwivedi | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, OCTOBER 30 Be well acquainted with latest administrative tools to meet the future challenges and improve the delivery mechanism this was stated by Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Mr. M. K. Dwivedi at the valedictory function of four weeks training programme for KAS officers held at IMPA. This programme was attended by senior officers from various departments. Mr. Dwivedi said that such programme are imperative for the orientation of the officers who get a better insight into the administrative functioning of various departments besides providing a platform for healthy interactions and experience sharing among them . He said that today officers are expected to be leaders and good managers who have to use their knowledge and skill for effectively carrying out their duties. He appreciated IMPA and its faculties for organizing such training programmes which provides exposure to the latest information on public administration. He asked for organizing more field visits outside the state and making comparative analysis of administrative functions and providing update knowledge to the participants. He exhorted officers to go back with commitment, a broader vision and new attitude to work with zeal and responsiveness towards the needs of the people He asked them to be catalyst of change and keep themselves well acquainted with the information for handling the modern tools of governance such as RTI, e-governance and proper implementation of various government schemes. IMPA, Jammu also organized a five day training programme on empowerment of women, issues and concern under Course Director, Mrs. Sunita Zalpuri which was attended by senior officers of police, education and handicrafts department.
