Tabasum Guru, wife of Afzal Guru, set to be hanged on October 20 for his involvement in Parliament attack in 2001, today filed mercy petition to President A P J Abdul Kalam.
Tabasum, along with his seven-year-old son Ghalib, filed the petition seeking commutation of the death sentence to the Kalam's office, said Nandita Haksar, an activist and lawyer who is spearheading a campaign to save Afzal from gallows.
