Jammu Oct 31: State Vigilance Organization has produced challan against Sub Inspector of Police in the court of Special Judge Anti Corruption Kashmir in a case registered under FIR 19/2009 u/s 5(2) J&K PC act svt 2006 r/w Sec 161 RPC.
Spokesperson stated that SVO produced Challan against SI Gh Rasool Bhat No 5345/NGO s/o Assudullah Bhat of Kulangam Handwara then posted at Police Station Beerwa Budgam.
The case was registered in Police station Vigilance Organization Kashmir wing following a complaint lodged by one Ghulam Mohi-ud-din najar of Zampora Khan sahib Budgam wherein it was alleged that the said accused was demanding Rs 1000/- as bribe to hush up the complaint lodged against his uncle by his nephew who is one of the brothers of the complainant with Police Station Beerwa. Immediately after the registration of case investigation was set into motion during which a successful trap was laid and the accused police officer was caught red handed in presence of independent witnesses, the SVO spokesperson stated.
