Jammu, Oct 31: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today has paid rich tributes to Mrs. Indira Gandhi describing her great leader with courage and commitment to steer the nation towards the shore of progress, prosperity and strength.
In a message issued on the martyrdom of Mrs. Indira Gandhi today, Chief Minister Omar said that Mrs. Gandhi was the architect of the modern India who sacrificed her life for upholding the secular democratic credentials of India.
Chief Minister said that Mrs. Gandhi will survive in the annals of the history forever for her extraordinary public image and zest to serve the people irrespective of any consideration of creed, caste, region or religion.
He said that Mrs. Gandhi’s special affection for Jammu and Kashmir will always be remembered by the people of the state.
The Chief Minister said the best way to pay homage to Mrs. Gandhi is that all of us work together to strengthen the secular democratic character of India and cement the bonds of love and amity between various sections of the society.
