| CCI delegates meets BSNL officers on cellphone ban | | | Early Times Report Jammu Oct 31 A deputation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCI) Jammu led by newly elected president Y V Sharma called upon PCGM Mobile BSNL R K Koul in connection with the decision of the Union Home Ministry to ban the sale of prepaid connections and coupons from tomorrow in Jammu and Kashmir. The spokesperson CCI Jammu stated that the deputation while appreciating the ban imposed by the Home Ministry in view of the misuse /exploitation of pre-paid connections by the extremists elements and PAK Trained ultras, highlighted the difficulties which are likely to be faced by petty traders, students, farmers and weaker sections of society by this ban. ‘The deputation impressed upon the PCGM Mobile BSNL to convert the bonafide pre-paid connections so far issued to post-paid after due verification of the credentials of the subscribers at the earliest and also to formulated a new monthly plan of minimum of Rs. 50/- which is always available in the neighbouring states, he said. The PCGM BSNL appreciated the points raised by Chamber of Commerce & Industry assured to take up the matter with the Chief General Manager J&K Circle.
