| Thathri people demand assembly segment | | |

Jammu, Nov 1: Tehsil Thatri Development Front (TTDF) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Kumar Rao its president said that Tehsil Thatri has been ignored till date. He said main reason is that Thatri is divided into three constituencies some of the area of Tehsil is attached with Bhaderwah constituency, some area with Inderwal constituency and some area with Doda constituency, due to which there is lack of basic amenities in the tehsil. Citing problems of drinking water, electricity, medical, educational, livestock, agriculture, and road connectivity etc, Rao said that only solution of this problem is to create entire tehsil Thatri as a separate constituency.
He appealed to chief minister Omar Abdullah, R&B Minister GM Saroori, and MLA Bhaderwah Mohd Sharief Niaz to consider the long pending and genuine demands of Tehsil Thatri at an earliest. The meeting was attended by Om Raj Bhall, Kanwarjeet Singh Thakur and Subash Chander secretary and others.
