| Unsafe in Rajouri, Rukhsana being officially shifted to Delhi | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Nov 1: From the terrains of Shahdara Sharief to a protected quarter at Rajouri’s District Police Lines, the security concerns are mounting for 21-year old Gujjar girl Rukhsana who killed a top militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba on September 27. Following an attack at her village house, officials say it is unsafe to keep Rukhsana and her family anymore in Rajouri and therefore she is being shifted to Delhi. Official sources confirmed that Rukhsana will be shifted to Delhi by Monday, where she would be lodged at a safe place, as the threat to her life has grown manifold. The police had intercepted a conversation between militants where they spoke of eliminating Rukhsana and her family. This was followed by a rifle grenade-attack on her house Friday night. Though no loss was reported in Friday night’s attack, the police did not rule out further attacks or the militants trying to seek her in Rajouri, the town where she was shifted after she killed the LeT commander Abu Osama Sep 27. “At this point in time, I can tell you that Rukhsana is being shifted to Delhi,” a police official said, and added: “I cannot give you any other detail.” Rukhsana was widely praised by the national media for her act of bravery of taking on militants and killing one of them and injuring two others, with the help of her younger brother Aijaz. She has figured on top of the hit list of the terrorist outfit, sources said. Rukhsana may also be taken to Mumbai, where she would be honoured at a function Nov 26, the first anniversary of the terrorist assault on the financial capital of India.
