Sangarsh reconstitutes its executive body for next term

Jammu Nov 02: Sangarsh- A movement for Justice, Equality, Peace, Prosperity and Brotherhood made a reshuffle in the central executive committee for the one next academic session and has appointed Vikrant Sharma, former Cultural Secretary Students Cultural Council JU as the chairman of the organization for the next term
Vikrant Sharma informed this in a press conference organized here today in JU campus and said that Sangarsh dedicated the year 2009-10 as the year for the protection of environment and gave the theme “Our Life Our Environment” as the slogan of the year. ‘Awareness programmes, workshops, seminars and other related activities concerning Global warming and environment protection shall be organized to create awareness, he said. Ranjeet Sharma highlighting the achievements of the movement claimed that the movement in its past fought for the implementation of RTI act, for the reconstruction of infrastructure in different government institutions and other issues related to student community. The speakers also informed that Ranjeet Sharma ,Senior Research Scholar of the Department of Sociology, has been assigned the duty of President.
The other members of the committee who were assigned different responsibilities include Ramit Gupta (Vice-President, Districts), Taniya Akhter (Vice-President, Women) and Mukti Tikkoo (Vice-President, Administration). It is to be mention here that the former Advisor of Students Cultural Council JU Mr. Suresh Kumar once again unanimously appointed as the General Secretary of the movement. In addition to this he has also been awarded with the portfolios of Media and Finance.
The Advisory Council has also appointed Mahesh Koul, Research Scholar (Organizing Secretary) and Suraj Singh (Spokesperson), Sachin Bhagat, Secretary SCC JU (Coordinator), Munish Gupta (Joint Secretary- Finance), Nitin Sharma (Joint Secretary-Media), Meenakshi Anand (Joint Secretary -Records), and Poonam Honda (Joint Secretary Administration).
