Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 2: Initiating various rehabilitation schemes for displaced Hindus without taking their consent signifies the designs of state government about draining the huge amounts in the name of displaced Hindus for their personal gains, alleged leaders of Jammu and Kashmir Vichar Manch.
Citing live example of the mania in the department of Relief and Rehabilation wherein in more than 35 Tehsildars have been appointed on the wages being drawn from Security Related Expenses (SRE) funds, Dr R. L Bhat President informed that there are merely 25 posts of Tehsildars in Jammu, Udampur and Kathua while as treating the organization a parking slot state government has adjusted 35 Tehsildars in the department besides other ACs, DCs are being paid from SRE, which is purely meant for displaced Hindus of Kashmir.
Exposing desired conspiracy of state government regarding formulation of hotchpotch plans for displaced Hindus for the last twenty years Dr. Baht said that state as well as centre government is extending complexes not packages worth returning as Hindus of Kashmir did not flee to seek jobs or promotions what government is offering them mingled with return. Dr. Bhat made it clear that government is not in favour of return of migrated Hindus to the Valley instead prefers restricted return to not disturb the existing demography of Valley.
Ridiculing state government and Revenue Ministry for is its dishonest approach; Dr. Bhat said that decisions taken in the meeting of Apex Committee were not implemented yet. He said people at the helm of affairs are making mere mockery with the announcement made by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and state Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather in terms of employment package. He asked where the 10,000 jobs announced by Prime Minister and 15, 000 jobs announced By Abdul Rahim Rather are?
Dr. Bhat said that community have lost faith in government and it’s hallow assurances as like terrorism politicians are exploiting apathy of displaced Hindus of Kashmir for power and money. Shedding light over the proposal of return extended by JKVM, Dr. Bhat said that providing integrated township in Valley will enable the migrated Hindus of Valley to return with feeling of security. He further said that hotchpotch and designs under vested interests will not do but government should come on the table with sincere and honest heart to discuss its proposals prior to announce them.
