| Blacktopping in Jammu city on war footing | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 02: The black topping on left over major city roads would be completed in next few two days as NBCC and ERA has handed over the same to R&B after completing their part of work.
The Information was given at a meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kotwal convened to review the pace of restoration work, including black topping of the city roads.
The Meeting was informed that while most of the roads have already been restored, the blacktopping of major roads, including Mian Dido Chowk to Jewel CPO to Civil Secretariat Ranmbishwar Temple and Vivekananda Chowk would be completed in next two days.
Dr. Kowtal asked the executing agencies to speed up the work of lying of sewerage line around Ragunath Bazaar. The executing agencies sought some more time for as at several places they had to cross in connect existing under ground Nallah.
Later, Divisional Commissioner personally visited the constructions sites and took stock of the pace of restoration work.
Chief Engineers PWD, Irrigation and Flood Control, Commissioner JMC, representatives of ERA and NBCC accompanied the Divisional Commissioner.
Dr Kotwal also took stock of the renovation and repair work at Civil Secretariat, besides employees quarters and directed the estate department for executing the work speedily.
