| Training programme under SGSY organized | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 03 - “Five day Training Programme of Tot-III on SGSY” for block and sub-block level functionaries of district Rajouri was organized by Regional Rural Extension Training Centre (RRETC) R. S. Pura, Jammu today.
The purpose of the training programme is to prepare all field functionaries of the district to launch “National Rural Livelihood Mission” (NRLM) restructured SGSY scheme with the objective to reduce poverty among Rural BPL through promotion of diversified and gainful self-employment and wage employment opportunities to provide appreciable increase in income on sustainable basis is being launched throughout the country.
The training programme was inaugurated by Minister of State for Power, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Labour and Employment and Transport, Mr. Shabir Ahmed Khan. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Khan desired the field functionaries to work hard and come up to the expectations of the tough group in rural areas. He appreciated the initiate of the RRETC, R.S. Pura to organize first such training camps at Rajouri. He asked people to avail benefit of these camps.
The Principal RRETC, Mr. B.K. Pandita gave detailed description of NRLM and the objectives of holding the five days training programme.
