| Symposium on global warming held | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Nov 3: Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) Kathua organised a symposium on global warming. On the occasion MLA Kathua Charnjeet Singh Jasrotia was Chief Guest and large number of students expressed their concerns over the growing threat of global warming. Where the spokes persons belonging to student community Avinash Kumar, Pankaj Sanjan, and Swami Raj Stood at 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Jasrotia while addressing the students along with staff member and other citizen said that the major evolving threat in the front of whole man kind of the world is global warming due to the abundant accumulation of toxic gasses emitted out of industries, deforestation at large scales and the excessive use of pesticides/insecticides for want of more production of the food grain but resulting the degradation of the soil. Jasrotia said that the views on global warming delivered by the students are appreciable and very informative he said that pollution is the major region for global warming global warming has become great concerns for the extinction of the everything the life producing planet so it is necessary to be aware about the menace and fight to sort out the solution for the existence of the environment in which life producing planet can be saved. Meanwhile the MLA also took the responsibly for the black topping on the School Cross road and the construction of one toilet cum bathroom for students of the Govt Higher Sec School boys Kathua. Principal Santosh Kohli and Jasrotia distributed awards as certificate to the 1st 2nd and 3rd position holder in the symposium and also consolation prizes to the other students who also expressed their concern in the symposium. Finally, principal thanked to all the participants of the programme along with staff members and chief guest.
