Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 3: As many as 54 civilians swapped border in a weekly Poonch-Rawalkote bus service at Chakkan-da-Bagh on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.
’Fiftyfour people yesterday crossed the LoC from Chakkan-da-Bagh to meet their divided families on either sides of the border,’’ official sources told.
Sources said 12 civilians including four first timers from this side visited Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) in a weekly bus service while eight returned to their homes after staying in Poonch.
From other side of the border, 42 civilians reached Poonch, which included 17 PoK residents and 25 Indian citizens, who returned to their homes in the twin Poonch and Rajouri districts.
