Jammu, Nov 4: The diploma engineers welfare forum of the state today observed as protest day against the degradation of entry level grade of junior engineers from 6700-10700 to 4500-7000 at their respective place of posting in various districts.
As per press release a massive protest rally was held at PHE Complex BC Road Jammu and Irrigation complex Canal road Jammu in which Junior Engineers from different engineering wings participated under its president Er. Upinder Singh.
Junior Engineers criticized the state government for placing junior engineers its pay grade of 4500- 7000 instead of 6700-10700. The protestants warned the state government for ignoring the genuine demand of the diploma engineers and raised slogan against the discriminating and callous attitude of the state government.
The members urged the pay anomaly committee to reconsider the entry level grade of junior engineers from 4500-7000 to 6700-10700 the release added.
