| Shastri urges PC declare Jammu, Srinagar B-I cities | | |

Jammu, Nov 4: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has urged upon the union home minister P. Chidambaram (PC) to declare Jammu and Srinagar as B-I cities since these full fill all the parameters required for such a status.
In a memorandum submitted to P.C Shastri appealed him to introduce a bill in this regard in the coming winter session of parliament commencing from Nov 19 and full fill the genuine demand of the salaries class and other sections of the people of the state.
Shastri pointed out that when many of cities in the country having similar population and other ingredients have been accorded B-1 city status, the summer and winter capital of the J&K state should not denied this benefit any longer.
