As part of civic action programme under Sadbhavna, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) unit provided computers alongwith furniture to government high school, Chakka in Doda district on Wednesday.
Government High School, Chakka is a co-educational school and approximately 700 boys and girls of nearby villages and of remote areas are studying there. Computer education is still a distant dream for the schools remotely located, due to non-availability of computers and peripherals. On the request of people of village Chakka and to create goodwill and win hearts and minds of the local population the army undertook the task for providing computers to government high school, Chakka under Sadbhavna for benefit of the students. The computer facility provided will be of immense help to the school authorities in imparting information technology education to approximately 700 students of these remote areas. This in turn will also assist to improve the overall IT awareness among the youth in the region. Noble efforts of army to promote computer education were immensely appreciated by the people who understand its growing application in various fields and importance in future.
