| Mega Lok Adalat decides 259 cases | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 05- A record number of 259 cases were decided at the 11th day of the Mega Lok Adalat held at Subordinate Court complex here today. Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu BL Bhat, who is also the chairman District Legal Service Authority, said that for quick disposal of cases six benches were constituted in which 269 cases were taken and 259 cases settled.
Bench No 1 comprising PO MACT Jang Bhadur Singh Jamwal took up seven cases in which all the parties sought further time for tomorrow. Bench NO 2 comprising Sanjeev Kumar Bhagat Additional District Judge (Matrimonial) Court and Arti Mohan , took up two cases and settled one while Bench NO 3 comprising Rajesh Sekhri Additional District Judge (Bank cases) and Sunit Gupta Excise Magistrate, took up one pre-litigation case and eight regular cases and decided seven cases and compromised Rs 6, 40, 731 besides recovering Rs 70,000. Bench No 4 comprising Mohammed Rafiq Chak Sub-Judge Jammu and Renu Dogra 2nd Additional Munsiff Jammu took up 69 cases and decided all the cases. Similarly Bench No 5 presided over by Noushad Ahmed Khan Additional Mobile Magistrate Traffic, took up 121 cases and settled all the cases, while Bench No 6 presided over by Railway Magistrate RS Jasrotia, decided all the 61 cases taken up for hearing.
