Udhampur, Nov 5: Pursuing to facilitate the poor Scheduled Tribe students of Gujjar and Bakerwal community in district Udhampur, the State Government is incurring a considerable amount to accommodate them in Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel, Udhampur free of cost besides providing them free meals, uniform, Books and Stationery, medicines and sports.
The management of G&B Hostel, Udhampur has spent over Rs.4.18 lakhs on the welfare of students for providing the facilities which include nearly Rs.3.48 lacs expenditure on diet, Rs.11000 on Books and Stationery, Rs.6635 on medicine and Rs.3740 on sports activities ending October, this year.
