| Integrated document flow system in 3 days at Lakhanurp | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Nov: In order to regulate traffic management system in the district, a meeting was held at Lakhanpur today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Sanjeev Verma. SSP Traffic, Jammu, SSP, Kathua, Deputy Commissioner Excise, Lakhanpur besides other officers attended the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that vehicle owner/drivers of the vehicles will be checked properly whether they have consumed alcohol, if found addicted he will be punished under law as this is being done on the other stations. Cameras will be installed on the roads to check the speed of the vehicles. One check post will be established for detecting various traffic related offences. In this connection the DDC directed the RTO Lakhanpur to do the needful within three days positively. Database for the permits and licenses issued by RTO, Jammu/Lakhanpur will be established and the information will be shared by traffic police so that any traffic related offence once detected, challans can be dispatched to the vehicle owners at their address. This will also help in identifying repeated or habitual offenders of traffic rules and thus can be proceeded under law. RTO was also directed to recommend for cancellation of route permits of serious offenders. To smoothen and ease the traffic flow system at Lakhanpur, integrated document flow system will be development by NIC. This will be helpful in decreasing the waiting period of trucks and other vehicles which remain standard and parked even for days together. People have appreciated the steps taken by the administration in enforcing uniform among employees of Excise and Commercial Taxes.
