| J&K Guv for gallantry award to Rukhsana | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 5 : Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra has recommended the name of Rukhsana Kausar to the Union Home Ministry for gallantry award for her courage.
Mr Vohra, in a letter to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, has recommended Rukhsana's name for National Bravery Award for her valour in killing a Lashkar-e-Toba (LeT) top commander on September 27 in Upper Kalsi village of Shahdara Sharief in Rajouri district, an official spokesman said.
The Governor after the incident, had asked for a report from the Director General of Police (DGP) to recommend the girl’s name for the gallantry award.
Meanwhile, Mr Vohra after receiving the report from the DGP, has written a letter to the Chief Minister and recommended Rukhsana’s name to the Union Home Ministry for bravery award, the spokesman added.
