| NCAMT-09 Concludes | | | Early Times Report
Two days National Conference on Emerging Technologies in Manufacturing (NCAMT-09) concludes in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra. Prof. N.K. Bansal Vice Chancellor, SMVD University was the Chief Guest of the valedictory function. On the occasion Prof. Bansal, a renounced Energy Scientist congratulated the delegates and advised them to make manufacturing technology green and eco-friendly since manufacturing technology is one of the fastest emerging areas which needs innovations and further research and hoped that the conference addressed this research area. The conference was attended by 150 PG students, 50 research scholars & large number of people associated with the industry. Seven academic institutions participated on the 1st day itself. 76 papers were presented out of 103 papers submitted.
During the conference three technical sessions were arranged and presentation from various industries like Unique Id, Designtech, Altair, PTC Aditya Infotech, CAD Kraft, Techno Solution etc. demonstrated their products and also shown the importance of their products in education and in industry sector. Auto-show was one of the greatest features of NCAMT-09. The auto show was inaugurated by L.S. Jain (Maruti Udhyog) and Dr. Gurvinder Singh, GM HR,Sonalika International. During the autos-how, India’s leading automobiles companies both two wheelers and four wheelers displayed their vehicles in the show. The vehicles attracted everybody and people took demo drive to feel the technological advancement in the automobile industry. The prominent among auto industry who participated in auto show in SMVD University were Chevrolet, Tata, Honda, Mahindra, Yamaha, Bajaj,Yo. It was also attended by various prominent faculty and industrialist Anil Kumar Chopra MD Nulux group, Prof. Sunil Pandey (IIT D), Prof. Pradeep Kumar (IIT R), Prof. Hari Singh (NIT KKR), Dr. Gurvinder Singh (SONALIKA),L.S. Jain (MARUTI UDHYOG), Prof. P.M. Pandey (IIT R), Prof. M.S. Grewal (BBS BEC) Ravi D. Sharma were a few. The Conference was held under edges of Mechanical Engineering; Prof. Navdeep Malhotra was the Convener of the Conference.
