J&K govt to station 10 ministers in winter secretariat

Srinagar, Nov 6 (PTI) To redress the grievances of the people during winter months in the valley, Jammu and Kashmir government has stationed 10 ministers in the recently established winter secretariat.
"The government has stationed 10 ministers on rotation basis in the winter Secretariat to address the grievances of the people," he said.
The civil Secretariat, the seat of Jammu and Kashmir Government, and other offices were closed in Srinagar on October 30-31 as part of bi-annual 'Darbar move' and will reopen in Jammu on November 9.
The practice of 'darbar move' was introduced by the Dogra rulers and as per the arrangement, the state government functions for six months each in Srinagar during summer and in Jammu during winter.
"Interested persons are informed accordingly to attend winter Secretariat during the office time for redressal of their grievances," the spokesman added
