| AKHNOOR, NOV 6: Jammu and Kashmir has been in lime light for one criminal pretext or the other since the gun culture erupted. After terrorist activities, infamous sex rackets and now hampering the sanctity of education, in a heart throbbing incident of interstate fake certificates racket has been spotted and busted by police today. Racket was being run by none other than a Principal-cum-Chairman of a private school namely Sanjaveeni Higher Secondary School Garota (registered with Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education), who has been arrested in this connection with fake degrees and diplomas found in his possession. Police after getting specific information, that a principal of a private school is involved in selling fake certificates to the students, conducted a raid on the school and arrested the principal with fake certificates. During interrogation of the principal police came to know that the principal was mere an instrument to sell the fake certificates as the racket has been operating from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The fake certificates were prepared in the name and style of Delhi Board of Secondary School Education. In order to arrest other persons involved in the scam a police team is being dispatched to Mathura, a highly placed source informed. The fake degrees not even being sold in Jammu and Kashmir State but the same are being sold on exorbitant rate in other states, he maintained. Police has recovered twelve fake mark sheets of class 10th and 12th from the possession of principal-cum-Chairman of school identified as Gopal Dass son of Krishan Lal. During scrutiny of the fake certificates police came to know that the fake documents were prepared through computer in a well planned manner bearing signatures of Secretary and Joint Secretary of Delhi Board of Secondary School Education. Principal lured his students to get the customers entangled if they wanted to secure good marks. The scam came to lime light when one of the students of the school gave information to police. Police has registered a case under section 420,466,467,468 and 471 RPC under FIR NO 50/09 against the accused. His interrogation is on and more recoveries and arrests are expected.
