| MLA Darhal Zulfikar presents memorandum of demands to R&B Minister | | | Early Times Report Rajouri Nov 7 Highlighting the various demands of the local populace Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali, MLA Darhal presented a memorandum of demands to Minister for R&B & Mechanical Engineering G. M. Saroori. MLA Darhal presented a memorandum of demands to concerned minister G M Saroori, during his visit to District Rajouri on Friday. Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali during his meeting highlighted the issues of the area of the district in general and Darhal Constituency which according to him has been always remained neglected and ignored from the arena of development for the past 62 years in respect of the essential services and basic amenities of life, particularly road connectivity, bridges, water supply, electricity, health and education. He drew the attention of the Minister towards the following projects which have immense public importance Palma Chowkian Bridge over Khandal Nallah; Ujhan Bridge; Construction of roads from JNV to Koteranka, Hubbi Gala to Bagal Kote, Dharamsal to Kanthole; Smote Targain raod. Under PMGSY, the MLA Darhal asked that the directions to be issued to the concerned executing agency to immediately start the work on Khandi Gali – Kanthole road, Smote – Targain road, Dalhori – Gadyog road, Link road from 14 km of K K road – Bai Nambar road, Kotedhara – Sokar road, Prori – Gura Sarkari road, Khwas – Dleri road, Kotedhara – Chambitrar road, Planger – Badanoo road, Ujhan – Dandkote road and Rakiban – Nadian road. The MLA also pointed out that a large number of roads do not cover the entire habitation of villages which are required to be extended to cover the entire population, Kotedhara – Gagrote road, Kandi – Morha road, Manoor Gala – Swari road, Mandir Gala – Tarkassi road, Bindi – Jamola road. He also sought minister’s intervention for the various developmental projects under NABARD Scheme and he demanded that the matter be expedited. He however expressed his gratitude for initiating the bold steps regarding construction of historical Mughal Road, bridges, roads etc. which were initiated by the previous coalition Govt. headed by Mufti Mohd. Sayeed and Ghulam Nabi Azad and which have further been carried over by the present coalition regime headed by Omar Abdullah. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
