Security forces have busted a militant hideout and recovered ammunition and explosives in Reasi district, while a militant supporter was arrested in Doda district of J&K, a defence spokesman said here.
Acting on a specific information, a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles and police busted a militant hideout at Karud in Mahore area, about 180 kms from here, in Reasi district yesterday, he said, adding 83 rounds of AK ammunition, two AK magazines, three electronic detonators and other miscellaneous items were recovered from the spot.
In an another incident, security forces apprehended 32-year-old Mohammad Hanief, a supporter of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit at Khangna area, about 175 kms from here, in Doda district last evening, he said.
Meanwhile, a farmer of Kund village in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district found two rusted grenades in his field yesterday, officials said, adding the police, after receiving information, recovered the grenades.
