Jammu, Nov 7- The 42nd Annual General Meeting of the Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu local centre was chaired by B. B. Gupta, FIE, Chairman of Jammu local Centre here today. Large number of members from all disciplines of engineering attended the meeting.
Anil Verma, MIE, Honorary Secretary while welcoming the members presented the Annual Report for the year 2008-2009 and highlighted the activities of the centre.
On this occasion Ashok Kumar Gupta FIE took over as the new Chairman and Sunil Sharma, MIE as Honorary Secretary for the sessions 2009-10 and 2010-11. Results of elections to the committee of Jammu local centre for the sessions 2009-10 and 2010-11 were announced by B. B. Gupta.
The other members of the committee include B. B.Gupta, Anil Verma, B. B. Sharma, Sanjay Khar, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Sudhir Kumar Sethi, Bhawna Sharma, P. K .Nanda, Ashok Kumar Verma, Rabinder Shekher, Samir Sharma, R. K.Dabgotra, Ravi Kumar Chanyal, and Mohinder Singh.. P.K. Nanda, is having the longest stint as Committee Member having been elected for the ninth time and will be starting his seventeenth year in the Committee.
Ashok Kumar Gupta, is a former Chief Engineer (Hydraulic), while Sunil Sharma is working as Assistant Executive Engineer, Mechanical Irrigation Construction Sub-Division, Jammu.
