| Mega Lok Adalat decides 291 cases | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 07- On 13th day of Mega Lok Adalat 291 cases were settled on spot and huge amount was realized. Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu BL Bhat who is also chairman District Legal Service Authority said that 291 cases were settled by six benches set up for the purpose. He said the Bench comprising Sanjeev Kumar Bhagat Additional District Judge (Matrimonial) Court and Kussoom Pandita City Judge Jammu took up nine cases and settled all the cases while another Bench comprising Rajesh Sekhri Additional District Judge (Bank cases) and YP Kotwal Passenger Tax Magistrate took up one pre-litigation case and 18 regular cases and decided all the cases and compromised Rs 23, 83, 342 and recovered Rs 1.25 lakh on spot. Another Bench consisting of Mohammed Rafiq Chak Sub-Judge Jammu and Renu Dogra 2nd Additional Munsiff Jammu took up 15 cases and decided 11 cases while the Bench presided over by Noushad Ahmed Khan Additional Mobile Magistrate Traffic took up 180 cases and settled all the cases. The Bench presided over by Railway Magistrate RS Jasrotia, took up 72 cases and decided all the cases. In the meanwhile on the instruction of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, who is also coordinator for Mega Lok Adalat for Districts of Udhampur and Reasi, a Legal Literacy Awareness Camp was held at Village Jib Tehsil Udhampur in which AK Sharma Chairman District Legal Service Authority Udhampur was the Chief Guest. MK Sharma CJM Udhampur Chairman Tehsil Legal Service Committee while addressing the participants informed about their rights under National Rural Employment Guarantee Act and also the responsibilities of the agencies involved in the implementation of the Act. On this occasion Arvind Sharma District Mobile Magistrate Udhampur, Advocate Surinder Khajuria President Bar Association Udhampur and members of Bar were also present. JNF
