| Excise employees protest enters day3 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | JULY 21 The All J&K Excise and Commercial Tax, class IV Government employees continued their strike and boycotted their routine work for the 3rd consecutive day. In a report demonstration the employees gathered in front of Excise and Taxation Complex Panama Chowk Jammu Jammu under the leadership of Adil Rashid Khan and raised the slogans against the state government and stressed upon the state government to focus the attention on the burning demand of retention of their services in their respective department without completing the new recruiting process. Adil Khan , while addressing the gathering said that despite their upto date service books, GP find deductions, record and getting all dues as regular employees , the government has decided to terminate their services. He further added that during the period of their employment almost all the employees have become over-aged and at this stage their position is going from bad to worse and moreover they cant compute with newly educated and young persons. According to he also said that the informal sources the vacancies in all departments in J&K are almost 36,000 , but the government he apprehends, wants to fill up the already filled up posts instead of vacant posts. He also requested the Chief Minister and Dy. Chief Minister to put the case in the house committee. Meanwhile the state president of BJP or Nirmal Singh criticized the government policies and said that the government has pro militant policy which focusing on re-habilitation of militants but on the other side government is putting the employees of clean career into danger.
