| 6 HM militants nabbed in Doda | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 7 : Six Hizb-ul Mujahideen militants, involved in subversive activities, were arrested after police busted a major terror module in mountainous Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources said here today. Acting on specific information, special teams of Doda police have been camping at various locations on the higher reaches of the Bhaderwah area for about one month. ''All six militants, who were part of a terror module plotting afresh terror strikes in the district, were arrested by police from different areas after several days of search operations,'' the sources said. Arrested militants were identified as Mansoor Ahmed alias Munna Ganai, a resident of Tharra Mohalla, Bhadarwah; Irshad Ahmed, a resident of Nalthi, Bhaderwah; Mohammad Hanief Malik, a native of Khangna Koti, Doda; Billal Ahmed alias Baldev, a resident of Puneja, Bhadarwah; Mudassir Ahmed, a resident of Kai Mohalla, Bhadarwah; and Zakir Hussain of Pul Doda. The sources said Billal and Mudassir were involved in killings of civilians besides executing grenade attacks and IED blasts, while Zakir was wanted in a number of subversive activities. The other three arrested militants, the sources said, were engaged in collection of funds besides giving information to the militants about movement of security forces. They had also been giving shelter to the militants in their houses besides arranging ''dhoks'' (temporary shelters) for them in upper reaches, the sources informed. Police were questioning the arrested militants about network and plan of their outfit in the area. The HM outfit, primarily comprising local militants, has suffered set back in the past few years as security forces have killed many of their top commanders.
