| Rubiya Sayeed kidnapping case: | | TADA Court orders CBI to produce accused | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 07- In the high profile kidnapping case of Rubiya Sayeed daughter of former Union Home Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed way back in December 1989, TADA Court Jammu today directed CBI to trace the whereabouts of Rafiq alias Nanaji involved in kidnapping and produce him in the Court on the next date of hearing. This direction was issued after the arguments of advocate Yogesh Bakshi appearing for the accused submitted that after his release from Udhampur Jail Rafiq alias Nanaji, was picked up by the police and thereafter his whereabouts were not known and so he cannot appear in the Court. As regards to another accused Javid Mir alias Nalka the counsel produced the medical documents in which the doctors suggested complete rest for the ailing accused. However, other accused persons in the case including JKLF Supremo Mohammed Yaseen Malik, Iqbal Gandroo, Showkat Bakshi, Javid Zargar, Manzoor Ahmed Sofi, Mehraj-ud-Din, Wajahat Bashir, Yaqoob Pandit and Zaman were present in the Court. The alleged accused persons are also involved in killing of four Air Force personnel in January 1990. Both these cases were transferred to CBI and after completion of the investigation CBI presented challan in the TADA Court of. It is pending for framing charges.
