| Yeddy versus Reddy reaches Vaishno Devi | | | Early Times Jammu/New Delhi,November 7 The embattled Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr BS Yeddyurappa, visited the famed Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu today to pay obeisance amid mounting political crisis back in his far off State where his BJP peers are baying for his blood. Fighting against the party revolt hoisted by mighty Reddy brothers back home in Banglore both Mr Yeddyurappa and his detractors have been camping in Delhi to seek the intervention of BJP higher ups to resolve the crisis.
When the crisis further worsened as Janardan Reddy and his iron ore mines tycoon brother remained unrelenting about allowing Mr Yeddyurappa to continue in the top State post, the beleaguered Chief Minister turned to gods. The BJP sources said in Delhi that the Chief Minister decided to offer prayers at Vaishno Devi and left for Jammu on an unscheduled visit. The Additonal Chief Officer (ACO) at Vaishno Devi temple complex, Mr MK Bhandari, later told Early Times that the Karnataka Chief Minister along with four others came to the temple in a helicopter offered prayers at the shrine and soon left for the Jammu airport. Those observing the escalating political crisis in Karnataka say that the warring BJP sides should indeed look to gods to rescue them as was done by the Chief Minister whose face remained fallen throughout Saturday and whose eyes welled up with tears before TV cameras today. |
