| Traffic police gears up against traffic violators Challanes 1511 vehicles, realizes Rs. 3.25 lakh fine | | | Sarita Jamwal Udhampur, Nov 8- To check the menace of overloading, driving without documents and also rash driving, the district Traffic Police has launched a comprehensive drive against such violators and challened 1511 vehicles including goods carrier and realized fine amounting to over Rs. 3.25 lakh against different offences committed by them with in one month . Traffic police team headed by newly posted District Traffic Inspector (DTI) Pushap Jeet Singh had expedited the drive against those violating the traffic norms including over loading and contravention of route permit The newly posted DTI has even tightened the nose of police cops on routine duty who were found of taking routine bribe from operators giving them strict directions and instructions in this regard. Sources disclosed that traffic police team had challned 1511 all types of vehicles and also realized fine to the tune of Rs.3, 25, 750 with in one month. To check frequent road accidents on different routes DTI said that we are committed to check all this and are working honestly in this regard. Meanwhile, the local residents have also appreciated working of traffic police for last one month.
