| ABVP accuses govt of delaying setting up of CU in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 8- Accusing state government of creating confusion over the establishment of Central University, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarithi Parishad (ABVP) today demanded that the University be set up at Samba as was proposed earlier.
Addressing media persons here today, Suresh Ajay Magotra, State secretary, ABVP said that if the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah could himself decide the site for CU at Ganderbal in Kashmir without involving concerning committee why same rationale was not being adopted in case of CU in Jammu. He demanded that work must be started on it at the earliest
He said that ABVP is going to launch annual membership drive in Jammu University, colleges and schools of the state and students above 9th class can be members of ABVP.
Magotra also demanded lifting of ban on pre-paid mobiles and special tariff should be made available to the student community.
Among others present at the press conference were Preeti Choudhary, Nasib Ali and Balbir Singh.
