| Army organizes Veterinary aid Camp | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur Nov 09 : A Veterinary Aid Camp was organized by 3 Advance Field Veterinary Hospital on behalf of 71 Sub Area under the aegis Op Sadbhavna at village Ritti, Udhampur district here today.
Army spokesperson said that teams from the District Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry departments and the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, SKUAST, RS Pura, Jammu also rendered their services during the camp.
Apart from the Army’s Command Hospital (Northern Command), the Directorate General Resettlement, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Zilla Sainik Welfare board, Field Health Organisation, Military Farms, and Civil Departments of Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture and Fisheries, Jammu and Kashmir Bank and State Bank of India also pitched with stalls for general awareness.
The Camp was inaugurated by Ajay Khajuria, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur and the commandant 3 Advance Field Veterinary Hospital presided. Khajuria was very appreciative of the tremendous efforts put in by the Army and 3 Advance Field Veterinary Hospital under the dynamic leadership of Brig AL Chavan, Commander 71 Sub Area in reaching out to the villagers in these remote areas of the district.
Lt Col Pankaj Agarwal of 3 Advance Field Veterinary hospital the Project Officer specially thanked Ajay Khajuria, DC Udhampur for his sincere efforts.
A record No of 1632 livestock including cows/buffaloes/goats/sheep/horses/mules and dogs were treated/rendered professional advice in the camp by the Army and Civil veterinarians present. In addition 432 persons were provided treatment and medical advice by the Army Medical Corps doctors present.
