| Chaman blames ‘ some Kashmiri leaders’ of blackmailing Delhi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Nov 09 : Certain Kashmir based leaders are not only having diseased mind but also are physically ailing and they are spitting Venom against India with the objective to get treatment at the cost of exchequer and to blackmail New Delhi, alleged Prof Chaman Lal Gupta leader of the BJP Legislators Party.
Prof Gupta said besides these, there are many others who have developed the habit of indulging in controversial utterances aiming at to blackmailing New Delhi and mislead the people by rousing the religious and sectarian sentiments of Kashmiris.
Prof Gupta while addressing a meeting of the activists at Kaleeth, a border village of Chhamb Sector said the sad communal division of India in 1947, coupled with the follies of the Congress leadership during all these years have made the people of the country, moreso, of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly of border areas to suffer a lot.
Prof Gupta said that instead of tackling the problem of secessionism with a firm approach by telling all the quarters that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and there is no room for separatism, the ruling leadership of the Congress had been vacillating and providing some amazing facilities to the secessionist leaders and now when any of the such leader gets involved in some serious aliment, he starts indulging in anti-national activities so that he is taken into custody and provided special treatment at the expense of the poor ex-chequer.
And there seems no end to the problems but for the ruling Congress leadership has never a Kashmir Policy, he added and said that to appease the secessionists and semi-secessionist raising the slogans of Autonomy, Self rule and other such like demands, the New Delhi leadership have reportedly again started fiddling with the problem of distancing the State from rest of India under a notion of finding solution to the Kashmir tangle.
The BJP leader recalled that during 1971 war the brave Indian Army had unprecedented victories in the battlefield and made Pakistan to lick the dust. But amazingly at the table 27 villages of Chhamb areas with thousands of acres of fertile land were handed over to Pakistan and the thousands of Hindu Sikh refugees of these areas are still facing numerous problems but for the wrong approach adopted by the ruling leadership of the Congress advocating that this was being done to have permanent peace with Pakistan under the Shimla Agreement but this yielding too, did not bring the desired results. .
Prof. Gupta was highly critical of the Omar led Coalition of the State and termed it as more worse than even the previous coalition which was headed by the Congress leader, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad. The incompetence of this coalition, he said, can be judged from the ever-increasing demonstrations, hartals and growing resentment in various quarters by the suffering people of the State.
The BJP leader asked the activists as also the nationalist people elsewhere to keep close watch on the developments on the issue of Kashmir and prepare for struggle if any wrong decision is taken by the Congress leadership in course of their behind the scene diplomacy and the votaries of autonomy/self rule as also that of Azadi and working for communal division of Jammu and other areas of this unfortunate part of the country. |
