| Noted singer Sofi passes away | | |

Srinagar, Nov 9 : Noted Kashmiri singer Ghulam Hassan Sofi passed away here early this morning.
He was above 75.
He breathed his last in hospital early this morning and will be laid to rest at Malkah graveyard later in the day.
Sofi, also known as ''Mohammad Rafi'' of Kashmir, remained associated with Radio Kashmir and Songs and Drama division for more than four decades.
He was awarded Sher-e-Kashmir award for his contribution to music, particularly Kashmiri, in the state.
Several cultural and social organisations have expressed deep shock over demise of Sofi.
