| Panchayati elections soon: Sagar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 9: The Minister for Rural Development, Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that the government is fully committed to hold the panchayati elections in the State, so that the benefit of various rural development scheme reaches to the people at gross-root level and the participation of people in the implementation of the same also takes place. The Minister was addressing a meeting held today to oversee the preparedness of the government to hold panchayati elections and also implementation of various rural development schemes in the State. The meeting was attended by Commissioner/Secretary Rural development Department, Umang Narulla and senior officers of the department. Sagar impressed upon the officers to ensure that the welfare schemes of the department are implemented in a proper way and also time-bound manner, so that the motive of the same does not get defeated. He further asked them that the aspirations and needs of the people should be kept in mind while formulating and implementing the schemes. The Commissioner/Secretary Rural Department gave an over view of various schemes and the status of their implementation
