| Teenager held with Rs 2 lakh | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 9: An eighteen-year-old boy was arrested by the police along with a stolen amount of Rs 2 lakh from Jammu Tawi Railway Station here, today. ''The boy identified as Vijay Kumar Pandey, son of Ram Dayakar Pandey, resident of village Chapra, tehsil Hariya, district Basti, Bihar was arrested by the police from near the ticket counter this morning,'' SDPO Railways DySP Dushyant Sharma informed. Sharma said that on finding him suspicious, a constable namely Tej Krishan frisked his bag and recovered Rs 2 lakh. During questioning he informed police he was an employee of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and he was going to buy essentials on Board’s behalf. Police sensing foul smell interrogated him where he again floated lie that he had stolen amount from SMVDSB counter. A police team was dispatched to Katra where police team was told that no such incident has occurred with SMVDSB office. When he was again put on interrogation he told police that he had stolen amount from a cigarette agency. ''He was put under sustained questioning during which he disclosed that the amount was stolen from a Cigarette agency in Paloura area, where he used to work as a servant,'' the police officer DySP added. The matter is being investigated and a case has been registered, he said
