| Pre-Paid mobile service | | CCI urges authorities to lift ban | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10: The office bearers of chamber of comer and industry (CCI) in a meting chaired by its president YV Sharma discussed the issue of ban on prepaid mobile services and its adverse impact on the people. Sharma said, time and again chamber has been impressing upon the authorities about the difficulties which are being faced by petty traders, students, farmers, migrant labourers etc. due to the ban. He said chamber fully appreciates the concerns of the government about the misuse of prepaid SIMS by anti national elements, terrorists and as such fully support the government in its endeavor to verify the antecedents of prepaid mobile holders. Chamber believes that ban is no solutions and the malaise should be checked at source. Instead of penalizing the innocent prepaid mobile holders the government should take necessary action against those cellular service providers who issued prepaid SIMS without adequately verifying the antecedents of the applicants, he said.
