| Bhairon Mandir Committee organizes 15th annual bhandara | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 10- On the auspicious occasion of Shri Kaal Bhairon Ashtami, Shri Bhairon Mandir Committee upper Bazar-Chowk Chabutra, today organized 15th Annual Bhandara.
On this occasion the entire bazar was tastefully decorated by the artists drawn from Calcutta while the band party from Delhi was a centre of attraction. Special chefs from Delhi and Amritsar were engaged for preparing special dishes and ‘Satpuda’- a rare and special dish attracted large number of devotees.
Earlier a large number of Jungam Babajis performed special pooja to please Bhairon Baba.
Pt. Rumil Sharma President and Mahant of Shri Bhairon Mandir Committee, while speaking on the significance of the day, said that in Kalyug every Hindu ritual starts with the pooja of Shri Ganesh followed by Baba Bhairon Nath ji.
It may be recalled that Baba Bhairon Nath Ji was the 5th Rudra of Lord Shiva and holds a very high place in Hindu mythology. Pt. Sharma said that in these days when the life of the people is very busy and they do not get enough time to have accurate and authentic knowledge of religious festivals, the occasions like today’s provide them an opportunity to learn a lot. The young generation which is getting attracted to the western culture, get chance to know about their rich culture and religious values?
Jammu East MLA & BJP State President Ashok Khajuria, former Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with thousands of devotees, including civil and police officials paid their obeisance on the occasion.
