Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10 : A militant of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) surrendered before security forces in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.
‘’The militant identified as Mohammad Ashraf, code Abu Ibrar, son of Mohammad Bashir Gujjar of village Angralla in Mahore, yesterday laid down his arms before security forces and the police,’’ official sources told .
Sources said he surrendered along with ammunition including one AK 47 with 2 magazines, 6 AK rounds, one binocular, one solar charging plate and a pouch.
‘’Ashraf joined HM outfit in 2006 and later shifted to LeT outfit.
He was wanted in many cases under sections 18, 20, 23 Unlawful Activities Provision Act 1967,’’ police official added.
‘’The surrendered militant was a Pakistan-trained and he may provide vital information about other terrorists operating in the area,’’ police said.
