| Army flagged off educational tour for children | | |

The Army is organizing an Educational and Motivational Tour for the school children of far flung villages of Mendhar under Op Sadbhavana from Nov 10 -22. Sector Commander of Rashtriya Rifles today flagged off the said tour from Mendhar.
The tour is being conducted by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force Romeom defence spokesperson said assign that this tour will help to instill a sense of national integration and patriotism amongst the children by providing them an opportunity to meet the people from different cultures and traditions.
During the tour, the children will visit the Science City and Verka Milk Plant in Jallandhar, famous Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake and the Zoo ion Chandigarh. They will also visit the prestigious Indian Military Academy at Dehradun and Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy for IAS at Mussorie.
The locals and parents expressed their deep gratitude to the Army for providing these children an opportunity to visit other parts of the country.
