| Masoodi to take oath as Additional Judge tomorrow | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 11: Hasnain Masoodi, presently Principal District and Sessions Judge Srinagar, will take oath as Additional Judge of the State High Court on November 13, 2009 at High Court complex in Jammu.
President of India Pratibha Devisingh Patil has appointed Hasnain Masoodi as Additional Judge of J&K High Court for which the warrant of elevation was received here today.
Born on January 2, 1954 at Khrew in Pulwama district, Hasnain Masoodi did his LL.B from Kashmir University and joined the Bar and practiced as an Advocate from April 22, 1977 to April 1980. He was appointed as Munsiff on November 10, 1982 and promoted as Sub-Judge on January 3, 1987 thereafter Masoodi was promoted as District & Sessions Judge on March 5, 1998. He remained posted at different places as District & Sessions Judge besides Registrar Vigilance J&K High Court, Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice and Registrar General High Court of J&K. Hasnain Masoodi was granted selection grade in April, 2002 and placed in super-time scale in April 2008.
With the elevation of Hasnain Masoodi as Additional Judge of the State High Court the strength of High Court judges has gone to ten including Chief Justice whereas as sanctioned strength of the State High Court is 14. |
