Srinagar, Nov 12 : A militant shot at and wounded a sub- inspector of Jammu and Kashmir police at Sopore in north Kashmir, official sources said here today.
They said a police officer was chasing a militant at Sopore, about 55 km from here this afternoon. However, the militant later shot at and injured the officer before managing to escape.However, the area was immediately cordoned off by the security forces and a massive hunt launched to nab the militant.The injured officer was admitted to hospital, they said.
