| Challan produced against woman employee GP Fund Office Jammu | | | Early Times Report

State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) today has produced challan against a woman employee working at GP Fund Office, Gangyal, Jammu in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Jammu who was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000/-.
Spokesperson of the SVO said that following a complaint of Smt. Swarna Devi widow of Kuldeep Manhas R/o Raipur, Satwari, Nursing Orderly SMGS Hospital, Jammu alleging therein that GP Fund refund case of her deceased husband was pending in the District Fund Office, Smt. Shama Bakshi, Assistant Complier demanded illegal gratification.
‘A Case FIR No.18/2008 P/S VOJ was registered on Sept 23, 2008 in this regard and in the course of investigation the officials of SVO laid a successful trap during which the Assistant Complier was caught red handed while accepting Rs.5000/-. The tainted money was recovered from her possession of the Assistant Complier in presence of independent witnesses.
The challan of the case was produced in the court of law alongwith the accused who is already on bail, under the court orders. The next date of hearing has been fixed on December 3.
